What is Poxet 60 Mg?

Poxet is prescribed to treat premature ejaculation in males. This medicine is primarily an antidepressant but is eliminated from the body very fast thus making it useless for treating depression. But since it is a fast acting drug it is ideal drug for PE.  

Class and Mechanism of Action

Poxet contains Dapoxetine as the primary ingredient which is an antidepressant; specifically it is a Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI). It inhibits serotonin reuptake, thereby increasing its availability in the blood. The increased levels of Serotonin increase pre and post-synaptic cleft action in brain thereby controlling the ejaculatory action.

How to take Poxet 60 Mg?

Take it orally 1 to 3 hours prior to a sexual activity.  

Dosage

The tablet comes in different strength. Usually 30mg once a day is the starting dose. Call your doctor to calculate your dose.  

Overdose

Consult your doctor right away.

Missed Dose

If it is time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose or else take it as soon as you remember. Do not double dose.

Warnings and Precautions

Do not take extra doses. It is not meant for women and children. Do not use without a prescription. Inform your doctor of any concurrent herbal or other medicines that you are taking.
