About Vidalista

Vidalista is a commonly used drug for the treatment of male sexual disorders like erectile dysfunctions. The primary ingredient of this medicine is Tadalafil. It is a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, also called PDE5 inhibitor, which works by blocking the degradative action of certain chemicals on the smooth muscle lining the blood vessels resulting in their relaxation. .

When is Vidalista prescribed?

Vidalista is primarily used in the treatment of erectile dysfunctions. It can help men to achieve and maintain an erection for a longer duration and enhance their sexual satisfaction. However, it should be noted that an adequate sexual stimulation is necessary to derive maximum results with this drug. Vidalista is also prescribed for the patients suffering from benign hyperplasia of the prostate. It helps to relieve the symptoms of an enlarged prostate such as: • A difficulty in initiating the flow of urine • Incomplete emptying of the bladder • Pain while passing urine • Weak stream • An increased frequency and urgency to urinate, especially at night

How To Use Vidalista?

The usual recommended dose of Vidalista is 10 mg. Men should take the dose at least half an hour before an intended sexual activity. The dose can be increased to 20 mg if they are unable to derive satisfactory results from the standard dose. In case they develop any mild side effects, the dose can be lowered to 5 mg. The maximum recommended dosing frequency of this medication is once a day. Men should avoid taking the dose more than once in 24 hours. It should be noted that this drug is meant to be used only before a planned sexual activity and not as a regular medication. Men suffering from Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia can use this medicine in a dose of 5 mg, once a day. The recommended dose of Vidalista for the management of pulmonary hypertension is 40 mg per day. Patients are advised to consult a physician and discuss the most suitable and safe dose based on their specific medical condition.

What are the side effects of Vidalista?

Patients may develop an allergic reaction to this drug resulting in hives, itching, difficulty in breathing and swelling of the face, lips or the tongue. Some other common side effects of this medicine include: • Priapism or painful erection that lasts longer than 4 hours • Changes in the vision or sudden loss of vision • Chest pain or a sensation of oppression in the chest • Ringing sounds in your ears or sudden loss of hearing • Irregular heartbeat • Convulsions

• The use of this medicine is contraindicated in the patients suffering from cardiac disorders. Men having a history of heart attack should refrain from using it. • Patients must stop using this medicine and contact a physician immediately if they develop a sudden vision loss. • It should be noted that this drug helps men to achieve an erection when the root cause of the condition is a lack of proper blood supply to the penis. Men who are unable to achieve an erection due to a physical deformity of the penis like Peyronie's disease will not benefit from using the drug. • Men should refrain from consuming alcohol when they are using Tadalafil as this may lead to a drop in the blood pressure, increased heart rate, dizziness, and headache. • Men suffering from a blood cell disorder called sickle cell anemia, leukemia, or multiple myeloma should use this drug with caution. • The use of this drug should be avoided by the patients having stomach ulcers or retinitis pigmentosa, an inherited disorder affecting the eyes. • It should be kept in mind that this drug can reduce the flow of blood to the optic nerve of the eye resulting in a sudden vision loss.

What are the drug interactions of Vidalista?

Patients may develop serious drug interactions if Vidalista is used with some other medications as given below. • Nitrates: the use of Vidalista together with any form of nitrate drug is contraindicated as it may potentiate the hypotensive effect of the nitrates. • Alpha-Blockers: Caution should be exercised when PDE5 inhibitors are administered together with the alpha-blockers that are used for the treatment of hypertension as both these groups of medicines are vasodilators. They cause dilatation of the blood vessels and produce a blood-pressure-lowering effect. Simultaneous administration of these 2 groups of drugs results in a sudden fall in the blood pressure. • Antacids: The simultaneous usage of an antacid like magnesium hydroxide or aluminum hydroxide with Tadalafil can reduce its rate of absorption. This may lower the effectiveness of Vidalista.

Storage

Vidalista tablets should be stored in a cool and dry place. They should be kept out of reach of children and pets.
