What is this drug?

V-tada is an analogue of Tadalafil. It is prescribed to relax and improve blood flow to certain parts of the body and improve potency. Its efficacy may last up to 48 hours.

Class and Mechanism of Action

Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor. Its PDE5 inhibiting action releases more of cGMP in the Corpus Cavernosum of a penis. An increased level of cGMP relaxes the smooth muscles and improves blood flow. It also relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and helps in enlarged prostate.

How to take the medication?

Take it orally 30 minutes prior to a sexual act. It is a chewable tablet, do not swallow.

Dosage

The efficacy of one tablet may last up to 48 hours. Consult your doctor for the right dose.

Overdose

Consult your doctor right away.

Missed Dose

If it is time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose or else take it as soon as you remember. Do not double dose.

Warnings and Precautions

Inform your doctor about other disease conditions you are suffering from and the medications taking. Do not take it with medicines containing nitrates or with ‘poppers’. Do not consume alcohol. Do not take it if you are taking other PDE5 inhibitors.

When the drug should not be used?

Heart disease, blood disorders, angina, history of MI or stroke in last 6 months, Vascular hypotension, glaucoma, Kidney & liver diseases, penile deformity or a history of priapism and allergy to the medicine

As long as prescribed.
