This medicine contains the active ingredient diosmin which is a semisynthetic drug (plant chemical found mainly in citrus fruits and used to make a medicine). Diosmin is usually prescribed for the treatment of problems with blood vessels, such as acute hemorrhoids, chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, capillary fragility and poor circulation in the legs. This medicine increases the action of serotonin, adrenaline and noradrenaline and thus increases the venous tone.
Is Diosmin suitable for me?
Diosmin is not suitable for everyone. Do not use it
- if you are allergic to diosmin, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- if you are breastfeeding
Diosmin interacts with other medicines. It is most important that you tell the doctor all the medications and herbal supplements that you are currently taking.
See the package leaflet for a complete list of possible contraindications and warnings.
