What is Nizral Cream?
Nizral cream in prescribed to treats several kinds of fungal infections in the body. It is typically recommended for seborrheic dermatitis, athlete’s foot, sun fungus, and candida infections. It is also available as Nizoral cream.
Class and Mechanism of Action
Nizral is an antifungal and is a member of imidazole derivatives. It contains Ketoconazole as an active ingredient. It blocks a key component of the fungal cell wall called ergosterol. This results in the accumulation of sterol precursors and depletion of ergosterol, rendering the cell wall unstable. The fungal cell leaks thereby killing the organism.

Store it at room temperatures and keep it tightly capped. Keep it away from the reach of kids and pets.
How to take Nizral Cream?
Apply once or twice a day to the affected area till the symptoms disappear.
The recommended dose is once or twice a day as per the prescription.
Consult your doctor right away.
If it is time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose or else take it as soon as you remember. Do not double dose.
Warnings and Precautions
Do not swallow. Do not apply onto mucosal surfaces. Use with caution in asthmatic patients as sulphite sensitivity is common. Wash hands before and after use.
