Saxagliptin is anti diabetic drug, which is used as monotherapy or in combination with other drugs for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
Classification and Mechanism of Action
Saxagliptin is a new anti-diabetic or oral hypoglycemic drug of the new dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor class of drugs.
This medicine is available in the market in the form of capsule and the patients can use it to maintain the blood sugar level in the body.

This medicine, Saxagliptin is stored at the room temperature between 20 and 25 degree centigrade. The medicine should be stored away from heat and moisture.
How to take the medication
One tablet of Saxagliptin should be taken by mouth.The patients should use this medicine with or without a meal at the same time every day.
The patients should take one tablet at the same time daily. As this medicine is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, so this medicine is used for the adult patient and the normal dose of the adult patients is one tablet daily.
