Aceclofenac is an anti-inflammatory drug used for the relief of inflammation in ankyslosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis and also osteoarthritis. The non-steroidal drug is an analog of Diclofenac.
How does it work?
Aceclofenac seizes the action of cyclo-oxygenase; a substance in the body, which is responsible for causing swelling, inflammation and pain, hence relieving the body from these factors.

Aceclofenac is a cytokine inhibitor.
Contraindications for the drug
The drug should not be used by patients with hypersensitivity, severe ulcer and gastrointestinal bleeding.

How to take the drug

Dosage
The recommended dosage of the drug is twice daily. Take one tablet of 100mg in the morning and another of the same specification in the evening.
Missed Dosage
If a dose has been missed, you can take the moment you remember it. However, if it’s almost time for the next dose, do not take the missed one. You should not take two doses together as a compensation of the missed dose.
Over Dosage
Over dosage of Aceclofenac can cause the human body to face the following symptoms:

- Headache
- Nausea
- Somnolence
- Pancreatitis
- Hepatic and renal failure
When to take the drug?
Aceclofenac should be taken right after a meal. You should eat a snack otherwise before taking the drug to avoid indigestion and to protect your stomach from any possible side effects.
