What is this drug?
Epivir Hbv 100 Mg is an anti-viral which is specifically used to treat Hepatitis B infection and sometimes HIV. It is not to be used as the first line of treatment because resistance to this drug is very common. It is to be used only when other options are not working.
Classification and Mechanism of Action
Epivir contains Lamivudine as the main ingredient which is an antiviral belonging to the class of nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. It acts by inhibiting the RNA synthesis of the virus thereby impeding its replication and growth. It reduces the viral load on the liver and allows it to heal.

Store it between 20 – 250C and away from the reach of kids and pets. Do not share with anyone.
How to take Epivir Hbv 100 Mg?
Take it orally with or without food preferably at the same time each day. Follow the instructions of your health care provider precisely.

Missed Dose
If it is time for your next dose then skip the missed dose or else take it as soon as you remember. Do not double dose.

It interacts with certain medications. Consult your doctor. Use with caution in case of kidney problems. Breastfeeding is not recommended. It can cause severe lactic acidosis and hepatomegaly.
