Description

What is this drug?

Adaclene Gel is an antiacne medicine which is for topical application. It is helpful in the regeneration of skin. It contains a retinoid-like compound which is similar to vitamin-A. It is also available in the market as differin gel.

Classification and Mechanism of Action

Adaclene Gel contains Adapalene 3% i.e., 3mg/g of the gel. It is a retinoid-like compound. It binds to specific retinoid receptors and normalizes the epithelial cell differentiation in the skin. This causes a decrease in micro comedones formation.  It also inhibits differentiation of keratinocyte. Together it shows exfoliating as well as anti-inflammatory effects.
