Description

What is this drug?

Etodolac is an NSAID used to treat symptoms of inflammation like pain, swelling, stiffness of joint and redness. It is usually prescribed in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It’s brand names are Lodine, Lodine XL.

Classification and Mechanism of Action

Etodolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It acts by inhibiting the hormones and chemicals responsible for inflammation in arthritis and other conditions. It only reduces pain and inflammation and does not treat the condition.

Store it in a cool and dry place away from the reach of children. Do not use expired medicine.

How to take the medication?

Take it orally with or without food as directed by your caregiver. Swallow the tablet whole.

Dosage

The usual recommended dose is 600mg once in a day. However, consult your doctor for your prescription.
