Class and Mechanism of Action

Viagra contains sildenafil which is a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor. Its PDE5 inhibiting action releases more of cGMP in the Corpus Cavernosum of a penis. An increased level of cGMP relaxes the smooth muscles and improves blood flow. Dapoxetine is an SSRI inhibitor.
