Mintop Forte 10 (Minoxidil)

What is Mintop Forte 10?

Mintrop forte 10% is a topical formulation of a vasodilator type of medicine. It is used primarily for male-type baldness, hereditary hair loss and common male-type hair loss. It stimulates the hair follicles and generates new hair. It is not recommended for hair loss in women and hair loss due to any other cause.

Classification and Mode of Action

Mintrop forte contains Minoxidil as the active drug. Minoxidil primarily is a vasodilator and an antihypertensive. In low doses, it stimulates hair growth by dilating the blood vessels supplying to the hair follicles. This increases the supply of blood and nutrients to them. It is also stipulated that it directly stimulates the epithelial cells of the hair follicles thus causing regrowth of hair.

Looking after Mintop Forte 10

Store it at temperatures below 30⁰C and away from moisture and direct heat. Keep it capped and away from the reach of kids.

How to take Mintop Forte 10?

Massage gently to the affected area as prescribed. Keep at least 8 hours distance between 2 applications.

Dosage

The typical dose is half a capful twice in a day.

Overdose

Seek medical aid or talk to your doctor.

Missed Dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose then skip it. Do not double dose.

Warnings and Precautions

It is not meant for hair loss in females. Do not use if you are under 18 years of age.  Don’t use this medicine in hair loss due to any other problems. Wash your hands thoroughly after every use.

When should Mintop Forte 10 not be used?

If the scalp is red, inflamed or infected, Allergy to the medicine, hypotension, cardiac anomalies, women and children

How long should you take Mintop Forte 10?

As long as your doctor recommends
