What is this drug?

The combination of Viagra with fluoxetine is used for the problems of sexual dysfunction in males. It is prescribed for impotence that is failure to have an erection, erectile dysfunction which is an inability to maintain an erection and premature ejaculation.

Classification and Mechanism of Action

Viagra is Sildenafil and it is a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor. Its PDE5 inhibiting action releases more of cGMP in the Corpus Cavernosum of a penis. An increased level of cGMP relaxes the smooth muscles and improves blood flow. Fluoxetine is an antidepressant. It inhibits serotonin and helps prevent premature ejaculation.

How to take the Generic Viagra with Fluoxetine?

Take it orally with or without food 30 minutes prior to a sexual act.  

Dosage

The usual dose is Sildenafil 100 mg with fluoxetine 60 mg. Do not take more than one pill in a day.

Missed Dose

Usually, the dose is as per need. A chance of a missed dose is minimal.
