What is Rosulip?

Rosulip 10 & 20 Mg is an oral medication used for lowering blood cholesterol. It contains Rosuvastatin as the main ingredient and is prescribed to patients who have high cholesterol or an increased risk of heart problems.

Classification and Mechanism of Action

Rosulip 10 & 20 Mg belongs to the class of statins which are dyslipidemic agents. It inhibitsHMG-CoA reductase, which is an enzyme critical to the synthesis of cholesterol. Rosulip increases the good cholesterol (HDL- high-density lipoprotein) and reduces the bad cholesterol (LDL- low-density lipoprotein, triglycerides) in the blood.

Looking after your drug

Store it in a cool and dry place. Keep away from kids. Check the expiry date regularly.

How to take the medication?

Swallow the tablet whole at the same time every day with or without food.

Strictly follow the prescription of the doctor. Do not change the dosage or stop the drug without consultation with your doctor.

Missed Dose

Take it as soon as you remember it. If it is time for the next dose then skip the missed dose.

Warnings and Precautions

Should not be taken along with Cyclosporine. Do not use in cases of severe renal or liver disease, seizures, electrolyte imbalance. Avoid alcohol intake with this drug.
