What is it
Generic Floxin is an antibiotic used in treatment of bacterial infections. It is usually prescribed for moderate to serious infections such as bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, cervix and urethra infections, acute pelvic inflammatory disease, cystitis, UTIs, prostatitis, Chlamydia and gonorrhea. Classification and Mechanism of Action
The active ingredient of Generic Floxin is ofloxacin, a chemotherapeutic antibiotic that belongs to the class of fluoroquinolones. It is effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting the DNA gyrase, an enzyme required for bacterial cell division and hence their growth and multiplication.

Dosage
