How should this medicine be used? Montair (Generic Singulair)
should be taken once a day, in the evening as prescribed.
You may take Montair (Generic Singulair) with food or
without food.
What side effects can this medication cause? The most common
side effects with Montair (Generic Singulair) include:
stomach pain
stomach or
intestinal upset
heartburn
tiredness
fever
stuffy nose
cough
flu
upper
respiratory infection
dizziness
headache
rash.
Less

agitation including aggressive behavior
allergic reactions
(including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat, which
may cause trouble breathing or swallowing)
hives
itching
bad/vivid dreams
increased bleeding tendency
bruising
diarrhoea
hallucinations
indigestion
inflammation of the pancreas
irritability
joint pain
muscle aches
and muscle cramps
nausea
palpitations
restlessness, seizures
(convulsions or fits), swelling, trouble sleeping, and vomiting.
What special precautions should I follow?

if you are allergic to Montair (Generic Singulair) or any other drugs.
tell your doctor and pharmacist about all the
medications you are taking
tell your doctor if you have or have ever had difficulty urinating
(an enlarged prostate), epilepsy (seizures), glaucoma, ulcers, asthma
or lung disease, high blood pressure, or heart/liver disease.
before giving Montair (Generic Singulair) to a child, tell the doctor if you have a family history of sudden infant death syndrome
(crib death) or if you regularly have difficulty waking the child.
tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or
are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Montair (Generic Singulair), call
your doctor.

Alcohol can add to the drowsiness caused by this drug.
Cigarette smoking may
decrease the effectiveness of this drug.
if you are having surgery, tell the doctor
you are taking Montair (Generic Singulair).
Don't drive a car until you know how Montair (Generic Singulair) affects
you. It may make you drowsy.
