Tadarise 20 Mg (Tadalafil)

What Is Tadarise?

Tadarise is a drug used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, in adult men. [1] It has tadalafil as its active ingredient, which is a phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. [1] Tadalafil increases the flow of blood in the penis during sexual stimulation by relaxing and widening the blood vessels of the penis, which leads to an erection. [1] Tadalafil is used by those men who have a problem in achieving penile erection. This drug does not cause an erection if there is no sexual stimulation. [1] Tadalafil does not cure erectile dysfunction or increase sexual desire. It does not prevent pregnancy or protect from sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV. [2] Tadalafil has a longer half-life (17.5 hours) than Viagra and Levitra (4-5 hours), causing a number of erections. [1] This drug is not recommended for women. It is sold under the brand name Cialis.

Classification and Mechanism of Action

Penile erection is caused by increased blood flow to the penis due to relaxation of penile blood vessels and smooth muscles of the corpus cavernosum. [1] During sexual stimulation, NO (nitric oxide) is released in the corpus cavernosum, which then stimulates cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) synthesis, which in turn causes smooth muscle relaxation and increase in blood flow to the penis, leading to an erection. PDE5 is an enzyme that inactivates cGMP, leading to issues with achieving an erection. [1] Tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor that increases cGMP levels in the corpus cavernosum, enhancing the erection. [1]

Looking After Your Drug

Store in a clean, dry place, away from moisture and heat. Do not store above 30°C. [3] Do not freeze. Do not use this drug after the expiry date. [3] It is important to keep it out of reach of children and pets. Store it at room temperature, away from light. Tadarise should be properly discarded.

Dosage

Always take this drug as prescribed by the doctor. Tadarise is an oral drug that is taken with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food. This drug is taken at least one hour before sexual intercourse. Tadarise is effective up to 36 hours. [4] Do not take it more than once in a day. It should not be taken daily. Do not take higher doses of Tadarise without consulting a doctor. [4] Tadarise is not recommended in individuals below 18 years of age. It should not be shared with others. Follow your doctor’s guidelines carefully. Ask your doctor for more information. Tadalafil helps in an erection only if sexual stimulation occurs. [3]

Overdose

Seek emergency help if a person has overdosed. Do not change your dosage without doctor’s permission.

Warnings and Precautions

Consult your doctor before taking Tadarise. It should only be used if prescribed by the physician. Do not use Tadarise if you are allergic to tadalafil. It is not safe to drink alcoholic beverages with this drug as it can lead to side effects such as dizziness, headache, and low blood pressure. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice with tadalafil. Avoid nitrates (taken for chest pain) with tadalafil; it can cause a sudden decrease in blood pressure. [4] Do not take tadalafil with another similar drug for erectile dysfunction like sildenafil or vardenafil. [5]

Interaction with any other drug may change the mechanism of action of tadalafil or increase the risk of side effects. Inform your doctor if you are taking an alpha-blocker, any drug for high blood pressure, antibiotics, a protease inhibitor, or antifungal. [4]

Possible Side Effects

Tadalafil is used to treat erectile dysfunction. It may cause side effects such as muscle pain, nausea, dizziness, headache, stuffy nose, upset stomach, high or low blood pressure, prolonged erection, blurred vision, swelling of hands, feet or ankle, sudden loss of vision.[4] Some of the rare side effects are – heart attack, fainting, penile bleeding, presence of blood in the semen, and increased sweating.[4] The individual should immediately stop using tadarise if he finds any of the above side effects. Consult your doctor immediately if any of the side effects occur. Some people do not experience any side effects. [5]

When the Drug Should Not Be Used

Tell your doctor about your medical history before taking this medication. Special precaution should be taken with individuals having sickle cell anemia, penile deformation, heart problem, leukemia, multiple myeloma, kidney problem, liver problem, high or low blood pressure, stomach ulcer, bleeding disorder, eye problem.
