Why is this medication prescribed?
Progynova helps relieving menopausal symptoms like: vaginal dryness and burning, pain during sex, involuntary loss of urine, sweats, sleep disturbances, nervousness, hot flushes, irritability, dizziness,
and headaches.
Progynova contains estradiol valerate, a product of the natural
human estradiol which declines durring the menopause.
How should this medicine be used?
You should take one 2mg tablet a day after food.
Swallow tablet whole, do not chew or crush. The next pack follows immediately without a
break. In the course of treatment, the dosage may be reduced to one
1mg tablet a day.

What special precautions should I follow?
You must not use Progynova if,
- You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients of Progynova.
- You have vaginal bleeding.
- You have coronary artery disease.
- You have or have had a liver tumour/disease.
- You have or there is a suspicion cancer of the breast or other cancers influenced
by sex hormones.
- You have or have had a thrombosis in the blood vessels of
the lungs or the legs or thrombophlebitis.
- You have antithrombin III deficiency.
- You have severely elevated blood levels of triglycerides.
