What is this drug?

Viprofil is a popular medicine for erectile dysfunction and impotency in males. It is available under many trade names. Some of them are Levitra, Filitra and Viprofina.

Classification and Mechanism of Action

Viprofil contains Vardenafil hydrochloride as the generic medication. It is a PDE5 inhibitor. By inhibiting PDE5, it releases more of cGMP in the Corpus Cavernosum of a penis. An increased level of cGMP relaxes the smooth muscles and improves blood flow. The improved flood flow results in an effective erection that can last up to hours.
