Why is this medication prescribed?
Prodep (Generic fluoxetine) is used to treat depression and
obsessive-compulsive disorder, bulimia nervosa, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). The active ingredient Prodepetine is blocking the
reabsorption of serotonin (increasing the activity of serotonin), a neurotransmitter/chemical messenger
in the brain.
How should this medicine be used?
Prodep (Generic fluoxetine) is usually taken once or twice a day.
Take Prodep (Generic fluoxetine) only as directed by your doctor.
If Prodep (Generic fluoxetine) upsets your stomach, it may be taken with food.
