Description

What is Generic Accupril 10 mg

it is a prescription drug that is used in treating hypertension as well as congestive heart failure.

Classification and Mechanism of Action

Generic Accupril is an ACE inhibitor (Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor) which reduces the production of angiotensin which ultimately leads to the relaxation of arteriolar muscles, thus causing the blood vessels to expand, ultimately causing the blood pressure to drop.

Looking after your medicine

You should keep your tablets away from heat, direct light and moisture. In addition, keep the tablets out of reach of children.

How to take Generic Accupril 10 mg

It has to be taken exactly as recommended by the doctor. You should take your Generic Accupril regularly and you should make sure that you do not change your regimen without talking to a doctor. Make sure to call your doctor if you feel that you are dehydrated. Your dosage may change as your doctor adjusts it and you should take the latest recommended dosage. Do not stop using Generic Accupril on your own. You might still have high blood pressure without any symptoms. If your doctor tells you to come in for blood checkups, come in for checkups.

Overdose

An overdose may be serious and you have to seek emergency medical help if you suspect an overdose. The symptoms may include fainting and extreme dizziness.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, take it when you remember. If your next scheduled dose is near, take only that one. Do not double a dose to make up for the missed one.
