What is Seroflo Inhaler 120 Md?
Seroflo Inhaler 120 Md is a combination medicine which is used to relieve airway spasm, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and cough and wheezing. It is prescribed in bronchoconstrictive diseases like asthma, COPD, and exercise induced spasm.
Class and Mechanism of Action
Seroflo Inhaler contains combination of Salmeterol and Fluticasone. Salmeterol is a bronchodilator belonging to the group of beta2-adrenergic agonists. It stimulates an enzyme called intracellular adenyl cyclase which increases the conversion of cyclic AMP. Increased cAMP inhibits the mast cell mediators thus reducing inflammation. It relaxes the smooth muscles in the bronchial wall and allows dilation of the air passages.
Fluticasone is a corticosteroid and inhibits the inflammatory reaction by blocking the synthesis and release of inflammatory substances.
