Why is this medication prescribed?
Serlift/Zosert(Generic Zoloft) is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive
disorder , panic attacks , posttraumatic stress disorder, social
anxiety disorder.
It is also used to relieve the
symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder, including mood swings,
irritability, bloating, and breast tenderness. Serlift/Zosert(Generic Zoloft) is in a class of
medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
How should this medicine be used?
Serlift/Zosert(Generic Zoloft) should be taken
once daily, either in the morning or evening.
What side effects can this medication cause?
The most common side effects include:
- difficult to sleepdry mouth
- hair loss
- changes in sex drive or ability
- upset stomach
- diarrhoea
- feeling dizzy
- tremor
- indigestion

increase of sweating
- feeling agitated
- decreased appetite
What special precautions should I follow?
- It may take a few weeks before
this medicine starts to work.
- You should tell your doctor about any other medical
conditions you may have, in particular, liver disease
- You should
not drink alcohol if you take Serlift/Zosert(Generic Zoloft). This includes beer, wine, and
hard liquor.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planing to become pregnant, or are
breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Serlift/Zosert(Generic Zoloft), call your
doctor immediately.
