Generic raloxifene (Raloxifene) is used to prevent and treat osteoporosis,
a disease common in post menopausal women, which results in bones that break easily.
Generic raloxifene (Raloxifene) works by acting increasing the density of bone (similar to estrogen), a female hormone produced by the body.
Generic raloxifene (Raloxifene) may also assist in the treatment of
cardiovascular disease and breast cancer.
How should this medicine be used?
It is usually taken once a day, with or without food.
Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully,
and ask your doctor to explain any part you do not understand.

by your doctor.

- hot flashes

- swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs

- blurred vision
What special precautions should I follow?

other drugs.

taking, especially the following: anticoagulants and estrogen or hormone replacement therapy.

Therefore you should stop taking
Generic raloxifene (Raloxifene) 72 hours before a long period of lying down.
During long trips, you must get up and walk around
every once in a while.
- Tell your doctor if you develop unexplained vaginal bleeding
or spotting or if you notice any changes in your breasts.
