Generic Zantac is used to treat ulcers symptoms; gastroesophageal reflux
disease (GERD); and conditions where
the stomach is producing too much acid, like Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Generic Zantac is also used to prevent and treat symptoms of heartburn
associated with sour stomach and acid indigestion. Generic Zantac decreases the amount of acid made
in the stomach. Generic Zantac is in a class of
medications called H2 blockers.
