Why is this medication prescribed?
Gabantin (Generic Neurontin) is used in adults to treat certain types of
seizures in the treatment of epilepsy.
How should this medicine be used?
It is taken
three times a day. Take Gabantin (Generic Neurontin) 3 times a day, approximately every 8 hours.
You should not go longer than 12 hours without a dose of medication. Follow the
directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor to explain any part you do not understand.
Take Neurontin exactly as directed. Do not take more or less than prescribed
by your doctor.
What side effects can this medication cause?
Tell your doctor if any of these side effects are severe or do not go away:
include:- bronchitis (in children)
- runny nose
- feeling dizzy
- drowsiness
- fatigue
- fever
- involuntary eye
movement
- lack of muscular coordination
- blurred vision
- nausea
- tremor
- weight increase (in children)
- viral infection
- vomiting

What special precautions should I follow?
- Gabantin (Generic Neurontin) may cause
drowsy and less alert.

any kidney problems or are on hemodialysis.
