Generic Clomid (Clofert) works similarly to estrogen, a female hormone that causes eggs to
develop in the ovaries and be released.
How should this medicine be used?
Generic Clomid (Clofert) is usually taken once a day for 5 days, starting on the fifth day of the menstrual period. Women
who do not have menstrual cycles can begin taking it on any
convenient day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully,
and ask your doctor to explain any part you do not understand.
Take Generic Clomid (Clofert) exactly as directed. Do not take more or less than prescribed by your doctor.
What side effects can this medication cause?
Generic Clomid (Clofert) may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of
these side effects are severe or do not go away:
- flushing

- Generic Clomid (Clofert) may cause blurred vision. Do not drive a
car or operate machinery, until you know how this
medication affects you.
- Generic Clomid (Clofert) increases the chance of multiple pregnancy (twins, triplets etc). Consult your doctor about the risks of multiple pregnancy.
