Why is this medication prescribed? Betanovate (Diprosone) (Betamethasone Dipropionate) is used to treat inflammation, swelling, and itching of skin conditions such as eczema, rashes, dermatitis, poison ivy, insect bites, allergies and other irritations.
How should this medicine be used? Don't take by mouth. For skin only. Keep out of mouth, nose, and eyes
(may burn).You should wash your hands before and after use. Clean affected
area before use. Use a small amount over the area.
Rub in gently. Do not put coverings (dressings, bandages, make-up)
over the area unless told to do so by your doctor. For using on
the scalp, part your hair, and apply the medicine to affected area. Rub in
gently. Let it dry. You may wash your hair as usual but not right
after using medicine.

you are allergic to any medicine. Make sure to tell about the
allergy and how it affected you. This includes telling about hives; itching; rash;
shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of
face, tongue, lips , throat; or any other symptoms involved. Tell
healthcare provider if you are pregnant or plan to get pregnant or if you are breast-feeding.
