Why is this medication prescribed?
Aspirin is used for the treatment of angina
and high blood pressure. It also increases the
supply of blood and oxygen to the heart. It works by relaxing the blood vessels so
the heart does not have to pump as hard.
Aspirin belongs to the family of medications known as Calcium
Channel Blockers.
How should this medicine be used?
The dosage will depend on your
condition and how your body responds to the
medication. Mostly, tablets are taken on an empty stomach, either
two hours after a meal or one hour before.
Use Aspirin only as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or
less than your doctor has prescribed.
Do not stop taking Aspirin
before consulting your doctor.

Taking Aspirin with other medications can result in serious
side effects. You need to tell your doctor if you are currently
taking any other medications, especially if they include:
beta-blockers, depression medications, glaucoma medications, diuretics ,
carbamazepine (Tegretol), cimetidine (Tagamet), cyclosporine (Sandimmune, Neoral),
fentanyl (Duragesic), theophylline, vitamin supplements, digoxin (Lanoxin),
quinidine (Quinidex, Quinaglute). | |
